Chats
A chat is a conversation with a model that draws on your team's sources. It is yours until you share it.
Chats live at the top of the sidebar. Each one belongs to you, not to a pad, and starts with every source you can reach switched on: the pads you belong to and the connections you hold. The chat header names those sources at all times.
Starting a chat
Press C, or choose Chats in the sidebar and start typing. Pick a model from the model picker, attach files if you have them, and send. Your first message creates the chat.
What a chat can reach
Every pad in scope lends the chat its documents, skills, and memory; every connection in scope lends it tools. The Sources page explains how to narrow that. When a task needs a website rather than an API, the model opens a browser of its own.
While a turn runs
You do not have to wait. Send a message while the model is working and it steers the turn: the current step finishes, anything the model had queued after it is dropped, and the model picks up your message right away. Press ⌘ Enter (Ctrl+Enter on Windows and Linux) to stop the turn and send instead, or press Stop to end it without saying anything.
Working together
Mention a teammate to bring them into the chat, or share an in-organization link. Everyone in a chat sees the same transcript and the same sources. See Sharing a chat.
Finding chats again
The Chats panel lists your chats grouped by the day of their last activity. Search (Cmd/Ctrl+K) finds a chat by title or content, and Favorites keep the ones you return to within reach.
