Pads

A pad holds exactly three things: a Library tree of documents, a set of skills, and a memory pool. Its members are people and groups. Chats draw on pads as sources; nothing runs inside one.

Personal and shared pads

Every member has a personal pad with exactly one member: you. It is where private documents, skills, and memory live, and it can never be shared. Shared pads belong to teams. They are invite-only, or open to everyone in the organization so anyone can join.

Organizations start with a shared pad called General that new members join automatically.

Switching pads

Library, Skills, and Memory in the sidebar share one active pad. The switcher at the top of their panels changes it for all three, and each device remembers the pad you last picked.

Creating a pad

Use New pad in the switcher or Settings and then Pads. Organization admins can always create shared pads; members can when the organization allows it.
