Tools and approvals
How the model uses the tools your connections lend a chat, and when it asks first.
A connection in a chat's sources lends the model that tool's actions: searching a tracker, reading a calendar, drafting an email. The transcript shows each call as it happens.
Approvals
Actions that change something outside Pad ask for approval before they run. The approval card appears inline in the chat and in your Inbox. Approving runs the call; denying tells the model to find another way.
Approvals go to the people who can vouch for the tool: for a connection, the person who brought it into the chat or anyone else who holds it. Every call records who requested it and who approved it.
When the browser needs you
Work in the browser has its own asks: a sign-in, a verification code, or a step the model should not take alone. They arrive the same way, as a card in the chat and a row in your Inbox, and the turn waits until you answer, take over, or skip.
Linking your own account
Some connections act as each person's own account rather than a shared one. The first time such a tool is needed, the chat shows a card that links your account in a few clicks. See Personal accounts.
